The objective of the research must be innovative and/or significant in terms of developing or improving the current knowledge and skills in the field of specialized nursing.

Graduation requirements shall be for the students to be enrolled at the Masters course for two years or longer, and acquire 30 credits or more (a separate requirement will be asked for students of Training Course for Certified Nurse Specialists, Training course for Genetic Nursing/Genetic Couseling and Training Course for Midwives),, and upon receiving appropriate supervision, pass the final examination and successfully defend their final thesis. However, in a case whereby the faculty meeting judges that the level of the student’s academic achievement exceeds that of a master’s thesis (e.g. paper is published in a peer-reviewed journal, or presented at an academic conference), the former may be used to replace the final examination.
Furthermore, in a case whereby the faculty council recognizes excellence in the student’s academic achievement, the required duration of study may be shortened to one year or longer.
