Mission statement behind the establishment of a master course on Health Sciences
Health Sciences covers all aspects of health support, including health promotion, prevention of diseases or disabilities, treatment and care of those with diseases or disabilities, and rehabilitation of those living with disabilities.  Professionals of health sciences are not only expected to contribute in health promotion activities and processes of recovery, but also be equipped with 1) high-level practical ability which promises to guarantee the quality of life of the patients, and respect the various ethical considerations, 2) high-level research ability based on broad perspective and scholarly attainment, and 3) the ability to meet the needs of our society in which individualization and higher education are progressing more than ever before.  Those wishing to make their career in health sciences must not only acquire medical, but multidisciplinary knowledge in the various studies of human subjects and their social lives, including welfare, psychology, sociology and philosophy.  They are then required to establish their specialty in, for example, nursing, physical therapy and occupational therapy.

Diploma Policy
By the end of their study, students are expected to

  2. Have acquired the knowledge and skills necessary to become a highly specialized professional
  3. Have acquired high level practical skills in nursing, midwifery, physical and occupational therapy
  4. Have acquired the educational and research techniques to advance critical thinking
  5. Have acquired the ability to cooperate and collaborate with professionals from other fields
  6. Have acquired the skills to show and take leadership based on high ethical standards
